The Maharashtra Assembly Elections began on Wednesday morning and several notable celebs have stepped out to cast vote. Voting is democratic right and so prominent figures are urging citizens to fulfil their duties. While we witnessed Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Suniel Shetty among others fulfilling the responsibility, a few others have also joined. Kartik Aaryan, Rakul Preet Singh, Hema Malini, Rajkummar Rao and others were spotted casting vote and showing off their inked finger.
Celebs spotted with inked finger after casting vote
Kartik Aaryan was spotted after casting his vote in the Maharashtra Elections 2024. The actor posed for pictures, flaunting his inked finger. For the voting day, Kartik opted for a white outfit. He was seen interacting with the media after he cast his vote. He also shared a selfie showing his inked finger.
Celeb couple Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani cast their votes in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon. “As citizens this is our responsibility,” Rakul told reporters outside the polling booth.
Sunita Ahuja, wife of actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda, told ANI, “I want all people to come out and vote… whoever comes (to power) should do good and serve the people.” She also assured that the actor will vote despite campaigning.
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza also shared a selfie after voting. They wrote in caption, “Voting isn’t just a right, it’s a responsibility”.
Hema Malini is serving as an MP from the Mathura constituency, fulfilled her duty as a citizen. She arrived to cast her vote at the Maharashtra Elections 2024. The ‘Dream Girl’ looked stunning as always in a simple green salwar kameez set. She was accompanied by her daughter Esha Deol.
Rajkummar Rao also arrived at the booth early. Clad in a casual white ensemble, Rao interacted with the paparazzi and security personnel stationed outside the booth. “It is very important (to vote). Everyone, please step out and vote. This is the voting day, it is very important,” he added.
Sharvari Wagh also stepped out to vote with her mother. The mother-daughter duo twinned in purple outfits.
Apart from them, several filmmakers were also spotted voting. Punit D Malhotra, Rakesh Roshan, Anupam Kher, Vishal Dadlani, Ali Fazal and several others also casted their vote.
